Having gotten out of Gotham Hospital half an hour earlier, after an over night stay so that they could make sure he was fine, Matthew was walking up to his apartment, walking stick in one hand, bag in the other. He couldn't believe that the news had said he had been in a critical condition, a couple of cracked ribs was not critical... Neither was a swollen knee.
Looking up, Matthew had his key out and noticed that the front door was open. He frowned and limped forward, pushing the door softly with his bag hand. His grip on his walking stick tightened, as did his chest.
"Hello?" He called out, half expecting the person/people inside to be the Joker or Harvey. He waited, closing the door behind him as he walked into the hallway from habit. "Come out and I won't hit you with a walking stick?" He half asked, making sure to be loud while talking... Or asking... Or whatever he'd just done.

Amelia heard a familiar voice. She was glad Logan and her had found the right place. Amelia stepped forward. She had changed now. No longer was she wearing the Arkham uniform, but a royal blue sundress.
"Dr. Reid?" she called out. "It's me. Amelia Grey." As she came closer to the entrance of the apartment, she could see Dr. Reid's walking stick, and frowned. "What did they do to you?"

Matthew stared at her, just about noticing the dress as he stared. He couldn't help wondering how she'd gotten into the apartment.
"How did you get in my apartment?" He asked, frowning in questioning and not answering her question just yet. After a moment, he registered what she'd asked and he looked at his knee. "The Joker kicked me, I'll be fine." He said before looking at her, frown gone now. He was sure he'd locked his door, maybe he hadn't though...

"Logan persuaded someone to let us in." Amelia informed Matthew. She came closer to him. "I'm sorry the Joker did that to you. We're just glad you got out alive. We've come here because we wanted to see if you were okay. They made more of a fuss about the doctors than about us. We also owe you something, Dr. Reid."

Logan waited in the kitchen of Matthew's apartment as Amy fled to the bathroom. The two had been waiting around an hour for the Doctor to arrive. The day before they agreed to reward Reid for his hospitality towards the two, he was the only doctor who shared mutual conversations with Logan, talked to him as if he was just another citizen of Gotham, not an inmate being treated and prodded with drugs and needles.
Amy was worried about Dr.Quinzel. From what he'd heard she'd formed a close to friendship relationship with Quinn and was the motherly figure she ran to in Arkham when having boy troubles with both her brother and boyfriend. Logan only hoped she didn't depend on Quinzel too much, otherwise she would see her as a replacement for their mother and reach the borderline of desperation to save her from the kidnapping.
Logan's train of thoughts came to a halt as he heard a familiar voice call. Popping his head around the doorframe he grinned, recognising Matthew.
"Matty boy!" He threw his arms up as a greeting but thought it best not to hug him. Since the two hadn't even recieved so much as a handshake from eachother, plus he was in pretty bad shape.

For a moment, Matthew had thought Logan was about to hug him, but then he didn't and Matt was rather glad.
"Wait, what?" He asked Amelia. Had she just said that they felt they owed him something? What the hell could they owe him for? They'd only ever spoken once, which had gotten him slapped by a guard if he remembered correctly, and he normally did. The other patients had also thought him insane by the end of that meeting, damn Macarena... "Hi, Logan." He smiled, trying not to seem too weirded out.

"Yeah, you were the first Doctor to actually talk to me and have a mutual conversation with both Amy and I. Plus you did the macarena, that definitely deserves something." Logan chuckled reminscing over the first meeting they had.
He shoved his hands in the pockets of his black three piece Armani suit and scanned his eyes over the apartment, he noticed the Dr.Who dvds, the small telly, the two seated sofa. He expected Arkham to pay a fair amount due to the risk the doctors were being put up with everyday but this flat contradicted his expectations.
"Do you have any Haribo?" He asked, his blue eyes darting over to the kitchen cupboards.

"Oh, come on!" Amelia grinned. "You don't remember, do you?" She was trying to hint at the day she made him spill his coffee. "We don't forget things easily, Dr. Reid. You should remember."
Amelia then proceeded to do the macerena to try to refresh his memory.

"Uh, yeah. Cupboard above the sink." Matthew said, slightly surprised by the fact there were two Arkham fugitives in his apartment. He smiled at her Macarena. If he didn't remember before, he sure did now. "I remember, I got slapped by a guard." He said, smile growing slightly. He took his jacket off, the same one he'd been wearing on the night of the fundraiser, and hung it up on one of the coat hooks by the front door.
Turning to the pair, his smile had gone. "Don't you two think you'll get taken back to Arkham?" He asked. "By coming to an asylum doctor's house, I mean." He added.

Amelia watched as Matthew hung up his coat, and then stopped her dance. "Not unless you decide to rat us out." she snorted. Just thinking about being locked up again made her blood boil. "We're here, more specifically, because of the coffee I made you spill. We're here to make it up to you, and take you to get your favorite coffee at your favorite coffee place!" she smiled. Maybe this would keep Dr. Reid from even thinking about telling the police of their whereabouts.

Logan quickly retreated to the kitchen, thrusting the cupboard open from it's rusty hinges, they rattled ever so slightly with the sheer enthusiastic force Logan was using. Peering in the shelves he moved a few box-sachets of Cuppa Soup and coffee jars, disorganising the mass of empty cereal boxes and biscuit wrappers that hadn't been thrown away.
"Dude, don't you ever recycle?" Logan asked, his eyebrows knotted together as he dug through the various obstacles that were Matthew's kitchen cupboard. After a few seconds he finally found a snack size pack of Starmix. A childish grin pulled at the corners of his mouth, as if he'd been treated to a visit at Honeyduke's. He closed the small doors then opened the small pack of gummy sweets, offering a red heart to Amy and a cola bottle to Matthew.
"Starbucks." Logan replied to Amelia's words in a 'hallelujah' tone of singing.

"Who would I rat to? I don't like the police and I'm not about to run to bloody Crane." Matthew pointed out before realising what she'd said. He stared at her, then at Logan as he came in. He took the cola bottle, on of the only sweets he actually liked. "Starbucks?" He asked, grin beginning to grow onto his face. He didn't go to Starbucks unless he was going to try being awake for a long time, normally in the morning before work and before he got to drinking the cheap stuff they had at Arkham.

Amelia took the small red heart from Logan. She looked at him and smiled. "I love these things. I used to sneak money from home, and after school, I'd buy some from the candy store a few blocks down." She then gazed down at the tiny heart in her hand. "Oh, those were good times." she sighed, and then ate the heart.
Once Logan sang out the name of the famous coffee place, she giggled. "Nice falsetto, brother."

"You know it, wasn't the lead singer of the boy's choir for nothing." He winked, referring to his days at Gotham's prestigous private school.
"We're also giving you money to spend there aswell, as much coffee as you like." Logan smiled, happy at his good deed for the day. Him and Amy hadn't been out anywhere with a friend in a long time, their father never permitted for Amy to have sleepovers or girl nights with her friends, even if she was going somewhere with Logan she'd be restricted from even talking to the store clerk.
Freedom was good.

Amelia nodded with Logan's statement to Matthew. "And after what you've been through with the fundraiser, you'll need all the coffe you can get your hands on!" Amelia felt like she was performing a random act of kindness with her brother. Well, it wasn't totally random, but hell, Matthew wasn't expecting it. "Just say the word, and we'll be off to Starbucks!"
