Full Name: Pamela Lillian Isley.
Alias: Poison Ivy.
Birthday: June 19th, 1986.
Age: 24
Hometown: Seattle, Washington.
Appearance: Standing at five feet and seven inches, Ivy is of an average height and weight. Her hair is naturally a vibrant shade of red, something that looks even brighter against her pale complexion. Typically Ivy can be seen dressed in various shades of green, though at the same time she’s perfectly comfortable with nudity and the only things covering her being an assortment of plants.
Personality: At first a naïve and somewhat shy young girl, a chain of events in Ivy’s life caused her personality to do a one-eighty. Sarcastic with a dry sense of humor, Ivy doesn’t really care for others, apart from her precious plants whom she’ll often show a more maternal side to her personality.
Special Abilities: Expertise in botany and toxicology, the ability to control plant life as well as produce a variety of floral toxins that can injure and intoxicate, and immunity to all toxins, bacteria, and viruses.
History: Pamela Isley grew up in a very middleclass, albeit boring and typically normal existence. Her father was an accountant while her mother worked part time as a librarian. An only child, Pamela was doted on by both her parents to the extent where they were somewhat overbearing. Perhaps it was due to her parents’ needs to protect their child that Pam grew to have a naïve personality. Nonetheless, Pam had a very happy existence. She did well in school, excelling in the sciences, most notably biology, and had a fair amount of friends.
After high school, with her decent grades, Pam applied to a handful of colleges before she was finally accepted into Gotham University, her plan being to graduate with a degree in botany, due to her love for plant life. After her first couple years at Gotham U, Pamela found herself entering a romantic relationship with one of her professors, Dr. Jason Woodrue.
The pair had a secret affair for months, something that had started when Woodrue had offered Pamela assistance in a variety of plant based experiments that she had been conducting to work towards her senior thesis. In return, Pamela agreed to act as an assistance to Woodrue for his own experiments that he performed in the college’s laboratories. Perhaps due to her own naivity, Pam agreed when Woodrue suggested that some of the experiments involved herself. Said experiments placed toxins in her blood stream, making her touch deadly and her immune system strong enough to withstand large amounts of poisons, viruses, bacteria, and fungi. In the end, the experiments performed on Pamela also gave her the ability to produce pheromones that drove men wild, as well as the powers to mentally control plants.
Woodrue fled the authorities, leaving behind an enraged, betrayed, and deeply hurt Pam who remained in the hospital for the next six months. After the experiments that had been conducted on Pam were deemed irreversible, she was released from the hospital, her personality forever changed. Though her parents pleaded with their only daughter to return home, Pam refused. Hardened and still hurt by feeling betrayed as well as abandoned by Woodrue, Pam transformed herself as she began a life of crime. With her new life, a name change was deemed appropriate. From that point on, Pamela Isley became Poison Ivy.
At first Ivy began a life of petty crime. Small time burglaries eventually led to larger and larger crimes, until finally Ivy planned to release her deadly spores into the air of Gotham, until the city would meet her demands. She was apprehended before she could see her plan through, and one look at her medical file had her moved to the secure wing at Arkham Asylum as the police feared they would not be able to handle her abilities.
