Full Name: James 'Jim' Worthington Gordon
Alias: Commissioner Gordon, Gordon
Birthday: 5 January 1965
Age: 45
Hometown: Gotham
Appearance
Greying brown hair, greying moustache, blue eyes. Jim Gordon looks professional, normally in a grey or black suit. His clothes reflects his attitude to work and he looks slightly intimidating. The years of late nights early mornings show on his face with wrinkles.
Personality
A good sense of humour, but also very loyal and serious with his work. He's friendly and brave but with common sense, though sometimes his need to save people can cloud his judgement, it doesn't happen often. He's also a realist, making things that can work, work and things that can't, he lets pass.
Special Abilities
None
History
Born in 1965, Jim Gordon grew up in Gotham. He had a fairly normal childhood, getting good, but not top, grades. In his early adult-hood, around 1985, Gordon joined the army. He left five years later, joining a police force in another state. 15 years after joining the first police force, he leaves that one to join Gotham City Police Dept. He later comforts Bruce Wayne after the 8 year old's parents are killed. 7 years after Bruce Wayne leaves Gotham, Gordon got transferred to Chicago, but an incident in Chicago forced him back to the GCPD as they were the only police department to hire him. After he is rehired to the GCPD, he starts the fight against Gotham Mobs and gangs. He finds, however, that there's a lot more work than before he left, what with corrupt cops and judges.
13 years before, Gordon's brother had a daughter, Barbara 'Babs' Gordon. However, Jim's brother and his sister-in-law died, leaving Babs to live with Gordon, Gordon's wife and his 8 year old son, Jim Gordon jr. He's recently adopted his niece to make them into a family.
In recent years, live has been getting weirder for Jim, what with him first being re-hired by GCPD, then his brother dying and him becoming commissioner, all through his realism of doing the best he can with what he has. He knows that worse things have happened to other people, and is rather glad that he isn't dealing with any of it. Although, he did have an affair with Sarah Essan which ended before his son's 6th birthday. From what he knows, his wife never found out and Sarah moved state. He doesn't know where she is now.
