As batman he wears a high tech Kevlar and Nomex combat suit and a cape made of highly advanced materials. He wears wrist guards with angular blades designed for martial arts to deflect sword blows and be used as offensive weapons. His crime-fighting ensemble is topped off with a helmet that contains communication and tracking devices in the ear pieces and an all purpose belt used to carry his various tools and devices.
Personality: When in public Bruce Wayne is a typical billionaire playboy. He is arrogant, irresponsible, and is known for committing outlandish and risqué acts for no reason other than to flaunt his wealth. He is often seen with a different woman (or women) every night. Despite this he often gives to various charities and other aid groups. As Batman he is very stern and unyielding in his beliefs. He will do whatever it takes to bring a criminal to justice but he refuses to carry a firearm and has a very strict no-death policy. He is very suspicious of others, often preferring to work alone. The only people he truly trusts are Alfred Pennyworth, Jim Gordon, and Lucius Fox. Despite the faith he has in them, Alfred is the only person with whom he shares everything.
Special Abilities: Bruce is proficient in many styles of martial arts, tracking and hunting, and he is skilled in the art of deception. He has a working knowledge of various sciences, and other crime-fighting skills. Having a perpetual supply of funds Bruce can acquire nearly anything he needs via the "R & D" department of Wayne Enterprises. His combat suit was originally developed for the military and is mostly bullet proof and fire resistant. At all times he carries a grappling gun, Shuriken (shaped like bats), smoke capsules, a small amount of first-aid equipment, and all purpose line, most of which are stored in or on his belt. His primary mode of transport is the bat-mobile, a slightly modified military grade bridging vehicle designed by Wayne Ent. He operates out of a cave located under Wayne Manor where he keeps a very high tech computer and various other equipment to aid in his endeavors.

His parents were well know for the philanthropy and committed effort to clean up and restore Gotham City. As a child Bruce lived the sort of life one could only dream of. His parents were loving and gentle and strove to instill good values and a positive work ethic in the young Bruce. Between his parent's and their butler Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce had an excellent support network and many upstanding figures whom he could look up to as a child. When he was six he fell down a dilapidated well where he was set upon by bats, creating in him a phobia of the creatures.
Bruce's life took a tragic turn when he was eight. As he and his parents were walking to their car after the opera on night Thomas and Martha Wayne were gunned downed right in front of the young Bruce. The murderer, Joe Chill, was caught within hours. Bruce, having no other family was left in the care of Alfred. When he turned 12 He began studying at the best schools in the world though he often got expelled after a semester or two at each. When he was 16 he returned to Gotham to witness a trial that resulted in the release of Joe Chill from prison. The teenage Bruce was infuriated and in an inconsolable rage ran away from home. As he ran he vowed to come back and clean up the corrupt and crime ridden city. He came back after a few days and taking and using Alfred to purchase plane tickets and send him funding he began to travel the world, training his mind and body. He studied with various schools, tribes, temples, dojos, and individual teacher's to learn the skills he would need to combat any sort of criminal he might encounter.
He returned to Gotham when he was 21. He attempted to join various agencies in the justice department but soon learned that he could not clean up the city from the confines of a government organization. He left once again, this time telling no one, not even Alfred where he was going. Traveling the world once again he further honed his skills and began to learn skills like forensics, criminology, and other sciences so that he could not only fight crime but investigate it as well. Searching for a way to inspire terror in the criminal world Bruce went through several ideas. Eventually, while training in a cave he was set upon by bats, triggering the memory of his childhood fear. With that it was decided. He would become the Bat.
He secretly returned to Gotham nearly a year ago. He has kept his return a secret from everyone but Alfred for over a year as he "borrowed," fabricated, and assembled, the equipment necessary to become Batman. Now, nearly a year later everything is in place for Bruce Wayne to make his return public. To become Gotham's Dark Knight.
