Red hair (originally brown), clothes that don't exactly make her invisible and grey eyes. Jane's tall (6'2) and thin, much like her brother. She makes mostly her own clothes from scraps of other clothes. She has a tattoo on her arm, her number when she was in a mental asylum after leaving her brother in Las Vegas.
Personality:
Sometimes she can be immature, flirty, confident and completely over the top, while other times she can be shy, quiet and agreeing. She has bi-polar disorder, often confused for schizophrenia as she will, sometimes, have hallucinations when in the manic state of bi-polar making her mind jump from one idea to another while she may also have hallucinations while in the depressive state and usually these hallucinations are the same. Her personality sometimes changes depending on what she dreamt about the night before.
Her manic states will often make her want to sing, and she'll laugh at nothing in particular. Her personality is jumpy and she can spend either days as one state or a few hours.
Special Abilities:
She has no magical abilities, but she's an excellent liar and singer.
History:
When she was born on the 18th of August, Jane's brother was 3 and their parents argued constantly. As she grew up, Jane continuously had to rely on Matthew to be the parent of the family and she was often woken up by their parent's arguments. Apart from her parents, Jane's childhood was fairly normal... If you think that trying to get Matthew's leg broken by shoving him in front of a car is considered normal.
When she was 13, the Reid's father left the house, unable to deal with their mother's illness. By now, the arguments had effected Jane in such a way that she was no longer a quiet girl who did whatever to keep out of arguments, but she was now starting fights. Her mother didn't know about the constant fights, Matthew having kept the stories away from her for as long as he could. Jane was getting into more fights though, and one girl ended up with a broken nose and a boy who had tried to stop Jane ended up with a bite wound in his arm. The younger Reid sibling got expelled after that and the stories could no longer be kept a secret. As she got kicked out of her school, at 15, her brother put their mother into a mental asylum.
In the following years, Jane almost returned to her previous self, but something kept the changes that the arguments had caused. Her brother didn't notice, what with their mother and Jane remained like this for the following years. When she was 18, the roles of Jane and her brother were reversed. Jane had to look after her brother, leaving her manic personality laying low for now. When her brother got her job back, two years later, Jane was still the shy girl she'd started off life being, but after a year she soon went back to being the overly confident party girl.
After her mother's death, when she was 21, Jane blamed her brother as she had no one else to blame and soon left her brother to go to find her father who had been trying to get her to move in with him. She found him in Newark, New Jersey and spent the following years in and out of the local asylum there. When out of the asylum, she would often abuse alcohol and sometimes did drugs, but she cut the drugs out when her father died.
Recently, Jane had been getting in touch with her brother, hoping to see him again. She now knows where he lives, but before she can get there, she's gone to Arkham Asylum for the Criminally Insane.
