((Set after Creditor))
Olivia was not thrilled with how things had turned out as she quietly unlocked Harvey's apartment. She'd caved after her last encounter with the Tally Man and asked Harvey to borrow money. He'd obliged, of course. He was entirely too good to her. She had promised him that she'd return the money eventually, but she really wasn't sure she'd ever be able to.
No matter, she'd make it up somehow.
The first and only other time she'd actually been in here she hadn't paid much attention to the details. She had been far too emotional. Her initial impression was that the apartment was beautiful and well furnished.
Now it just seemed sad. It struck her almost immediately that there were no photographs. She walked into the living room, hoping to find a picture of Gilda or Bruce or anyone, but found none.
Her attention shifted to the entertainment unit. She stared in awe. It was beautiful. Curiosity got the best of her and she went closer to see what DVDs he had. Olivia hadn't even know they made that many Star Trek DVDs. It seemed that Harvey owned every season of all the different series, every movie, and every documentary they'd ever done on it. It was endearingly nerdy. She loved it. She picked up season one of the original series to borrow and then paused, a thought striking her. She had the key to his apartment now. She could just come back. She set it back down and moved on to the bedroom.
When Harvey got out of Arkham, they definitely needed a night or two in here. Maybe even a full week. The room was understated with its dark wood and cream colored walls, but the bed...Oh, the bed. It looked amazingly comfortable. She pulled off her shoes and crawled into it, pressing her face into the pillows. He'd obviously slept in these sheets a few times before he was captured. They still smelled like him. She smiled before dragging herself out of bed. There would be time for that later.
She opened the safe and took out what was in there, trying to ignore the stabs of guilt as she did so. He owed her for the whole electrocution thing. Now they were even.
It didn't really help, but she could pretend.
She slipped the money into her purse and closed the safe. She poked around the apartment a bit more, trying to get a feel for what Harvey would be like to live with.
She'd been about to leave when a door caught her eye. Everything else in the apartment was wide open, but this was shut. She walked over and tried to open it. It was locked.
Must be something of Two-Face's...I'd rather not find out what's in there.
She locked the door to the apartment behind her. .She had originally planned to put the key back in storage, but had changed her mind. With Harvey back in his cell, she needed to find another way to sleep comfortably. She didn't feel safe anywhere else after Joker had attacked her. She figured people wouldn't mess with someone sleeping in the home of a Crime Lord.
And now it was time to pay the Tally Man.
