Full Name: Evelia Kavanagh
Alias (if applicable): No alias, but a nickname: Evie.
Birthday: February 12th 1973.
Age: 35
Hometown: Some podunk town in Georgia, but now lives in Gotham.
Appearance: Brown hair and green eyes. About 5 feet five inches tall. Slender, dresses well and expensively.
Personality: Her personality is often carefree, but she knows when to take things serious and settle down. Picking at people's brains and learning what makes them tick is why she chose her profession--a psychiatrist, though she teaches for extra money since its rather dangerous to attempt a psychiatrist's job in Gotham. She really has many sides to her personality, all depending on who she's around and what she's doing, probably a lingering issue from high school. If not at work, sometimes she can be mildly irresponsible by staying out late and drinking then dragging her feet the next morning. However, at work, she conducts herself ridiculously professionally in front of others, and (most of the time) without fear. She's addicted to her Blackberry, and has a bad habit of falling asleep in her office or teacher's lounge when she's not around anyone. She has a history of insomnia and often doesn’t sleep at night, causing her to take night shifts when she can, pending on her job, and seems to be fully awake then rather than the middle of the day. If the sun is up, she’d rather be sleeping, which puts a strain on her teaching job, since she is no where near a morning person. Typically nice to anyone she meets, and does business well. Still has some tendencies to behave as she always did in school, letting other people talk and blending into the background of a situation, especially if it’s important or having to do with her job.
Special Abilities: None, really, unless you count being able to read a full book in sometimes twenty four hours if she has nothing better to do, or knowing basic self-defense. Or, for that matter, knowing the lyrics to almost any song on the radio, or being rather good at sneaking up on people (not that she does it on purpose; she just walks quietly!)
History: Evelia grew up in the same town as Jonathan Crane, and attended school with him. She was a smart girl, but popular, and often associated herself with the people that made his younger years a living hell (Sherry Squires, Bo Griggs, etc). She was quiet and well-read, handed the world on a silver platter from a family intent on spoiling their only daughter, but when she did speak for herself or was separated from the clique she was a sweet girl, her only downfall being how quiet she was in reality. Evelia didn’t dislike her family, per se, but she didn’t bother spending too much time with them. The social class seemed to bother her more than make her happy, as her parents and their friends were listed in the dictionary under ‘snooty’, pictures and all.
She blended into the background well enough as a young adult, even in college. To keep up her image, she would often forgo standing up for anyone being teased by the social clique she hung around with. She regrets this now. In high school, she fought to be valedictorian of their graduating class, and for the time being that had been all that mattered. She worked as hard as possible in college to finish early, taking often too many credit hours to have a life, which she tries to make up for now.
