Full Name: Ari Wollf
Birthday: April 11, 1970
Age: 40
Hometown: Eugene, Oregon
Appearance: Height: 5'11"
Weight: 175
Hair: Dark Brown/Almost Black
Eyes: Blue
Build : Broad Shoulders, Slender, but muscular. Not "work out in the gym" muscular... but that cut look that only comes from a hard day's work kind of muscular.
Personality: Compassionate but not coddling., Ari wears his heart on his sleeve when he's not wearing a Dr's coat. His teenage and early adult years were not without hardship, both physical and emotional. He likes to think he's learned from his past and he has no qualm at sharing that knowledge and past with others. He has no tolerance for anyone who abuses children.
While an avid outdoors-man, Ari is equally comfortable strolling art galleries and museums, or enjoying fine dining with close friends. Those with chiseled jaws and ripped torsos finding their way into his bed. Ari is a lover of good wine, and all types of food. He considers vodka to be its very own level of the food pyramid. Ari is a talented artist, but it is purely a hobby, and it is very rare when he shares his work with anyone.
Special Abilities: Excellent Cook
Enjoy creating ice sculptures...with a chain saw
Talented Artist (painter)
History: Ari Wollf was born in Eugene, Oregon, the only child of Rhonda Amaria Wollf. Ari has never met his father nor does he have any idea who he is, other than a logger who worked for his grandfather during the spring and summer of 1969. He is not named on the birth certificate. Ari's mom moved to Eugene just before his birth, much to her parents, Alisha and August's displeasure; though she did allow Ari to spend summer vacations at his grandparents logging camp.
Ari loves Eugene. It's a city noted for its natural beauty, outdoor opportunities (especially bicycling, jogging, rafting , kayaking) focus on the arts, activist political leanings, and residents with, as his Grandfather likes to put it, "alternative" lifestyles. For August, saying aloud that his only grandchild is gay does not come easily. Choosing to stay close to home Ari attended the University of Oregon and after graduation worked at Sacred Heart Medical Center in both the Rehabilitation Center and Behavioral Health Services center.
In September of 2005, Ari moved to New Orleans with the intent of aiding in the reconstruction of a city he loves. He went to rebuild homes, but you can't do that without the lives and stories of the home's residents making their way into your heart. He went with no one knowing that he was a a psychiatrist by profession; just wanting to be the guy who was building frame work and putting up drywall. But casual conversations around the nightly bonfires in tent cities become therapy sessions, whether he or the "patient" want them to or not. After almost four and a half years, two spent trying to help heal the children of the poorest of the poor, Dr. Wollf turned his work over to trusted colleagues and moved to Gotham. Why? That's his business.
