Appearance:
Talia is a slender and fit woman who stands about 5'8". She has a naturally olive tone to her skin, mainly because of her mother's heritage, but she doesn't stay out in the sun long enough for it to be anything but a pale shade. She has blue eyes that she got from her father and long, brown hair that she is slightly wavy, but she usually ties it back. She was born in Europe, but she's traveled the world enough for her to have a slight accent, though most wouldn't be able to pin down where it's from.
Talia wears eyeliner and lipstick, maybe a little blush and that is about it. She always has the ring her father gave her, which is a silver band with a rune etched into it. She tends to stick to dark clothing, mainly blacks, blues and grays, the occasional white. When she's not wearing something that conceals every inch of her and makes her blend in with the darkness, she can usually be found in some sort of revealing dress or outfit. She likes to show off her legs.
Personality:
One word best describes Talia: loyal. Her devotion to her father rivals most daddy's girls given the fact that she's willing to do bad things just to prove her loyalty. In fact, she's participated in many a criminal activity to do just that. She's even killed for her father, acting as an assassin when necessary. When it comes to her father, there is very little that will prevent her from doing what he asks of her. She would even willingly sacrifice herself to protect him.
Her loyalty to her father is only one part of Talia though. She isn't some mindless minion, nor does she lack the moral fiber her father is sometimes accredited to. She is very intelligent, and she has just been raised in a manner that has led her believe that her father is in the right. Of course, while she does have doubts sometimes about his actions, she feels her loyalty trumps any type of guilt that may result from his (or even her) actions. In this manner, she can sometimes come off as cold and emotionless.
Talia is anything but this. Behind her calm and cold demeanor lies a woman capable of love and compassion. She rarely shows this side of her though, as her reputation generally proceeds her and she doesn't want to appear weak in the eyes of her father or his allies. She acts the perfect little soldier, but she only takes orders from her father and will usually act in an elitist manner to anyone who isn't him, as she acts as his second-in-command.
Special Abilities:
Having been trained by her father at a very young age, Talia is very skilled when it comes to hand-to-hand combat (she knows many different types of martial arts). She is also very proficient when it comes to all sorts of weaponry, though she will admit that her favorite weapon is a sword. She is also extremely intelligent and uses that to her advantage. To top it off, she has access to all of her father's resources, and a great many of things are available to her because of that.
History:
Talia was born to Ra's al Ghul and his wife, Melisande. She was a healthy, normal child who got along fabulously with her parents, despite her father traveling fairly often. But that all changed when she was four, and one of her father's former acquaintances killed her mother. Barely old enough to register what happened, Ra's took his daughter wherever he went, leaving her in the care of only his trusted servants when he had to.
Talia grew up moving from place to place while her father educated her about many different things. When she didn't have her nose in a book, learning what she would have been learning in school, she was training with her father in different forms of martial arts. He wanted to make sure she could protect herself, so that she didn't suffer the same fate as her mother. Talia, not knowing this wasn't something a father normally did, took to their lessons with great enthusiasm.
When she was sixteen, Ra's had decided that it was time that she was brought in on his dealings. He introduced her into the League of Shadows and continued her training, albeit this was a lot rougher than their lessons over the years. She willingly accepted the training, and after a few years of brutal teachings, she was formed into a skilled assassin. Talia's father taught her the principles of the League, whose goal was balance, order and justice.
But Ra's ideas of balance, order and justice wasn't conventional. Many saw him as a terrorist, but Talia only knew what he had taught her. She could understand his logic, and she knew that sometimes the greater good required a large body count. Sometimes it only required one death, and sometimes it was at her hand. Barely 20, Talia had become a weapon that her father used when he couldn't do something personally. She was made to act as his right hand, as it were.
For years, she traveled, always returning to her father when he bid her to, but also continuing on his business elsewhere. It was only recently that he sent her to Gotham, where he was conducting business with a one Dr. Jonathan Crane regarding a fear toxin. Ra's has plans for Gotham, and though she doesn't know quite what they are yet, she's been sent to the city as her father's liaison.
