Harvey picked his way through the dirty snow in the alleyway behind the Iceberg Lounge, and approached the hidden doorway to the back rooms of the club.
He'd chosen to come alone this time, and was dressed in a simple business suit from his own wardrobe rather than any of the more flamboyant pieces in Two-Face's.
Suzume's "message" had puzzled him as much as it had concerned him. Gotham had never been Yakuza territory - in his youth the Depression had only helped the growth of Falcone and Maroni's empire, and in the days when he had been Gotham's crusading DA it was again the Italians who had held the balance of power in Gotham's underworld. There had been new crime lords emergeing over the past five years. Things were changing now.
Well, he of all people knew how easily one could fall from power, and how quickly a new king would rise to take the place of the old one.
Harvey rapped smartly on the door of the club and waited for an answer.

High above his head, attached to the back of the Iceberg, a camera followed Harvey's movements. The Penguin was nestled in a nice black leather chair, facing a monitor. He had his hands clasped in front of him and a half eaten plate of sushi to the side of them. When the little beep went off to let him know he had a visitor, well that was even better than raw fish. And few things were.
"Oi, you there, prepare for our guest! Or guests." A henchman shuffled off to get the drinks Penguin ad remembered Harvey ordering on their first meeting.
The knock came at the door and Penguin walked from behind the wall the hid the monitor room. The room he entered was simple. Dimly lit, with a table that could easily be said to have been for playing cards. Folding chairs surrounded it. Stuff very easily moved, hidden and that could have many purposes. He grabbed his umbrella, a simple one. Just a shotgun. Not even the automatic.
He opened the door wide, supplying the man on the other side with a grin that stopped short of being warm. Penguin couldn't pull of "warm". He looked up at Harvey.
"Welcome, my friend. Come in, come in. It is cold out there and warm inside. What do I owe the pleasure?"

Harvey stepped through the back doors of the club, brushing snow from his hair. He wasn't particularly fond of the strange little man with the odd laugh, but he intended to keep the Penguin happy.
"Thank you." He offered his hand. "Good to see you again, Oswald. How are your pets - enjoying this weather? You could probably take the penguins out for a walk and they'd feel right at home out there."

"Oh my lovelies are feeling particularly well today. They enjoy the weather, though honestly, penguins can endure heat for a few hours as long as they get back to somewhere nice and cool. I think they prefer to swim though. I took a few to the theatre with me though. I think they fail to understand the subtleties of Shakespeare."
The henchman entered the room with the drinks Penguin requested.
He closed the door behind Harvey and took his hand. Shaking vigorously and perhaps a little too enthusiastically.
"I took the liberty of bringing in a few drinks. I hope you do not mind."
He motioned for the drinks to be set down on the table.
"Would you like to sit?"

Harvey laughed at the thouht of penguins at the theatre. "Have you tried them with Marlowe instead? I'm not much on theatre, but I understand there's a lot more blood and thunder."
Harvey returned the handshake though with more conservatism than Penguin's effusive greeting.
Thank you - I never say no to a good scotch." He unwound the scarf from round his neck, unbuttoned his coat and sat down."
"So how is business settling down? I can tell the club's doing well - how about the other end of business? I hope you don't mind if I ask if many of my... fellow businessmen have called on you."

Penguin laughed back. "I shall take your suggestion, my friend. Perhaps they will like Marlowe better."
Penguin sat down across from Harvey. And looked at him seriously now. So, the dual-sided man was looking for information. He made a mental note.
"Well, now, Harvey. I keep my clients in strict confidence, of course. But I will say that I haven't been lack of visitors lately."
He took a drink of his own White Russian and watched Harvey closely to judge his reaction.
