((During non-club hours. Before Looking for Information.)) The Penguin had shut down the club after everyone left and had slept. He was awake and refreshed. Excited for the day even. He felt like it was going to be a good one. He had begun making preparations for the meeting Harvey had mentioned but was in no hurry. He was sitting in his backroom now, tapping the tip of an umbrella on the top of his shoe. He was watching the Food Network. They were preparing Salmon. He was drooling freely.

Suzume was not drooling freely. Instead, she was cheerfully making her way up to the door of the back room of Penguin's club. She had a favor to ask for him and had dressed for the occasion. Instead of her typical behavior of wearing kimonos before meeting mob related people, she had opted for the school girl outfit that she'd brought with her from Japan.
Hair braided into pig tails and a katana held lightly in her left hand, Suzume rapped smartly on the door.

The Penguin smiled. Oh a visitor! His first of the day. He was right, it was his lucky day. He loved business so much. He turned down the volume and cleaned himself up a bit. Rising from the chair, he used the umbrella to help himself up. This one was rather like Joker's cane. Just a knife hidden in the tip.
He made his waddling way to the door and opened it smiling. Upon seeing Suzume he dropped not only his jaw but his umbrella as well. He noted the katana but assumed that if she was a hired assassin, he could choose not better way to go. He began to drool again. If it had really been the Japan depicted in manga he would have died from blood loss through the nose. Instead, the blood simply flowed somewhere else. Penguin was speechless.

Suzume's expression didn't change from the polite smile, but inside she very much wanted to chop his bits off. She had dressed this way based on information she'd received that he had a thing for beautiful women. Japanese teenagers in schoolgirl outfits were very attractive to men like that.
She idly twirled her katana in her left hand. "May I come in, Cobblepot-san? I have business I'd like to discuss with you."

She is a Yakuza and wouldn't touch you with a ten foot pole. She may stick you with that katana though and would be a good ally, Oswald. Get yourself together.
He shook his head to clear it. Then he blinked a few times. He was finally able to smile. He didn't even have to look up much at her. She was almost the same height. Just an inch or so above him.
"Do forgive me, Suzume was it? I don't often get visitors dressed like that." that I didn't pay for.
He motioned for her to come in and picked up the umbrella.
"Business, is it? May I offer you a drink or something to eat while we discuss?"

Suzume laughed lightly. "My apologies, Pengin-san. I simply wanted to wear something that would please you. I worry now that I did too good of a job of that."
She bowed slightly before moving into the room and looking around. A show where fish was being prepared played silently to itself and Suzume fought the urge to roll her eyes.
At his question, she glanced over at him. "No thank you. I prefer not to mix business with pleasure." She shifted the katana in her hands. "I do hope I wasn't interrupting you. I suppose I could have called first..."

It had been a while since he had heard "pengin" and he perked up a little. It was cute. He would have to be careful to not let her know that he just thought cute about anything she did though.
"Oh not at all, it was a very welcome surprise. I hope you weren't too cold though."
There was a card table in the middle of the room and the chair he sat in was still facing the television(flat screen) mounted on the wall. He saw her glance at it. He picked up the remote and flicked it off. Then he grabbed a chair and pulled it out for her.
"Not a problem, just thought I would offer. And it's no interruption. I love visitors. Do feel free to pay a friendly visit whenever. The backdoor is always open." Something vile crossed through his mind about back doors but he tried to suppress it. It was not easy.
"What can I do for you?"

Suzume's brows furrowed slightly. She was unaccustomed to American men being this polite. Penguin was obviously a gentleman, if a rather perverted one. Perhaps doing business with him wouldn't be quite as painful as she'd expected.
She sat down, shooting him a warm smile. "Thank you, Pengin-san. You are most kind."
Feeling no threat, she gently lay her katana across her lap, clasping her hands lightly over it. "To get straight to business, I have a dilemma. You see, the yakuza are very wealthy in Japan. We rarely run into monetary problems. Here, however, The Emerald Dragons are somewhat on their own. We brought with us a small amount to start us up, but were not wise enough to consider inflation. I need a patron and was curious if you would do me the honor, or point me in the direction of someone who would."

The Penguin sat down across from her and looked at her while she spoke to him. He saw no hint of trickery in her face. Just a simple business deal. But he also sensed that she was crazy. If he was to turn her down, he would have to do it in the kindest way possible. And even that probably wouldn't save him. But that made no matter. Doing business with the Yakuza interested him, even if it was a risky game to play.
"I have no limit to the money I pull in and also the inheritance from my dearly departed parents. And of course, once I took over as head of my little section of Arkham, that helped as well. I have many ways to get money. Let's say I was interested in sharing. How would this benefit me? Other than the obvious, of getting to do business with you."

Suzume listened carefully as he spoke. Once he asked what would benefit him, she leaned forward. "Protection. I would make sure that none of the other crime families encroached on your territory or threatened you. You would do well to work with me, Pengin-san. You see, I am lacking a...what do you call it...moral compass. My biological parents didn't seem to have one and my adopted set didn't have enough to overcome the damage done by my genetics.
"This can benefit you in many ways. If there is someone, anyone, who you want to disappear, I will see to it personally. Though I prefer my crimes being loud, I can do subtle very well. Nothing could be traced back to you, you can trust me on that."
She smiled wryly. "Besides, if you help me out financially you will allow me to build the tea house I've been wanting. It would be very traditional. I know several geisha from back home that would be interested in joining the business over here. I'm sure many Americans, including yourself, would enjoy spending time with a real geisha."
She leaned back and wet her chapped lips. This fierce cold was miserable and she hated it. She was practically overdosing on hand lotion due to the raw skin that was appearing. It was not working well with her image, something she took very seriously.

She's as crazy as the rest of the mob around here. But you know she would be good to work with. Plus, a geisha. The small internal conversation over, Penguin was already decided. Of course, he was probably already decided when she came over in costume, but that was another point altogether.
"My dear, if there is anything you need financial backing for, I am your go to man. I also specialize in weapons, but you seem well equipped."
He smiled across to her. He wondered if Yakuza shook hands after a deal. Or did they bow? In the back of his mind, he decided he had to clean this place up a bit. Make it a little more fancy, for the meeting.
