Toothbrush and lips still sparkling with mint green bubbles, Ari didn't even bother to look over his shoulder at the man standing behind him in the doorway of the hotel bathroom; instead he simply raised his eyes to the mirror to meet the blue-green gaze, his displeasure at being hurried showing plainly in his eyes, but apparently not plainly enough. Letting out a long breath he bent his head to the sink, rinsed, spit and repeated...twice. "Glad to know my ass wrapped in a towel is enough to keep your attention." Smiling he finally turned and leaned back against the sink, his arms folded loosely across his middle, his smile growing at the look on the other man's face. "Don't worry, I don't really believe that, but you drug my ass all the way up here from New Orleans for this little project...you can at least let me shower and brush my teeth before you throw me into the fires of hell." Ari took a step forward and looked closer at the hardened face his friend was famous for showing to the rest of the world. "Apparently not...I'll get dressed." He passed him just a few inches closer than was necessary as he moved into the bedroom of the spacious pent-house suite, making his way to a closet that had more square footage than his entire apartment in New Orleans. "You don't need me for this job...you don't need anyone; you could just", he paused, choosing words with professional courtesy, "modify a few suggested departmental procedures." Knowing his point was made he turned back to the closet grabbing jeans, a thermal and sweater, and started to dress. "Unless you plan on helping me, get the hell out of here and wait in the lobby." Twenty minutes later Ari Wollf walked off the elevator and toward a disaster far different than a hurricane or a fucked up family.

Heading out of Arkham with a pair of jeans and cashmere sweater on. The clothing she wore had gotten big on her because she had lost so much weight since her incarceration in Arkham. Her boots clicked along the concrete sidewalk deciding to get some fresh air and relieve the tension in her muscles. Taking a few deep breaths letting her lungs clear out the stale air they have been breathing in the musty indoors of the asylum. It was good be out once in a while.

Although he'd been given basic instructions the moment he stepped off the elevator, Ari immediately placed them at the end of his "to do list". How can you possibly jump into a job where you are supposed to sound and appear like you know what you're talking about when you don't even know the names of the places locals know better than their own grandmothers house.
Nodding at the doorman he stepped through the revolving glass door of the hotel and into the damp heavy cold air, shivering slightly as he looked around for the closest newsstand.

Continuing to walk down the side walk she wasn't paying much mind before she bumped right into Wollf. "I'm s- so sorry.." Hazel eyes looked up briefly to the man as she apologized for her lack of attention to where she was going. At least she didn't knock him to the ground.

Startled from his own thoughts Ari took a step back to steady himself, then gave a small smile and a nod to the woman; taking in her baggy clothing and slightly drawn appearance. "No worries; I wasn't paying much attention myself." Going against every big city code of conduct, he smiled again, blue eyes sparking: "I'm guessing by the lack of necessity to look where you're going that you know this area pretty well; can you tell me where a guy can grab some descent vegetarian food?"

Katarina nodded slowly, "Yea, there's a Persian restaurant just a few blocks from here. The food's pretty decent." She was going against her natural instinct to just continue to walk and deep down she had hoped this decision wouldn't bite her back in the long run. Kat had to develop almost an anti-social behavior to avoid being placed back in Arkham unwillingly.

Ari nodded and smiled. "Thanks." then he paused, an obvious "and" look plain on his face. After a moment he chuckled and glanced side to side, a good natured tease to his tone. "Um, a couple of blocks which way?"

"Maybe it's best if I show you. I'm horrible with directions." Katarina blushed slightly embarrassed. Starting to walk again hoping he would follow her lead. After about a thirty minute walk they arrived at the restaurant. "Here it is."

Ari tried not to look too surprised by the offer and fell into step with his guide, not pressing conversation, simply taking in his surroundings as they walked.
When they came to a stop in front of the red curtained store-front he spoke for the first time since they set off. "Thanks. I know this must have taken you way out of your way, may I get you a cab to where-ever you were headed, or at least buy you lunch?" He immediately blushed and stammered on. "I mean we don't have to eat together...just, well...I just wanted to say thank you in some way." He stared blankly at her for a moment always amazed that at the age of forty he still could not speak to an attractive woman without blushing. "Thank you."

"Actually, I didn't have a destination to go to really. I was just walking around to get some fresh air." Katarina smiled. "I wouldn't mind some lunch though since you're offering." Watching him blush. "I don't mind some company if you don't mind mine." Crossing her arms loosely to hide the fact she was shivering from withdrawal.

Ari smiled and nodded at the unexpected acceptance of his offer, his glance really taking in her appearance and posture for the first time.
"Well," he said, offering his hand, " I suppose I should introduce myself. I'm Ari Wollf." Smiling again, he turned and opened the door for her.

Kat extended her hand out slowly taking his into her own. "I'm Katarina Williams." Smiling at him. Heading inside as he held the door for her to enter. "Thank you." Looking over at the hostess as she told the lady the number for a table. "Two, Please." Following the hostess to their table now taking a seat as she was handed a menu.

((Set after Happiness is Overrated))
Olivia had decided she needed a break from her life. A constant headache pulsed through her skull at all hours of the day. Her sleep, already erratic thanks to Harvey's electrotherapy, was even worse because of the stress she was under.
So she'd decided to take the day off work to walk around Gotham and sample a new restaurant. She had never tried Persian food before and thought it sounded interesting. She blinked in surprise as she spotted a familiar face in the restaurant.
After a moment of mental debate that made her feel a bit too much like her boyfriend, she walked over. "Sorry to interrupt, but I just wanted to say hi. How are you, Kat?"

Ari looked up from his menu at the sound of the new voice, immediately pushing back his chair to stand, nodding a hello.

Lifting her head towards to the familiar female voice cringing internally at the realization as to whom it was. Great.... She hoped that Olivia wouldn't go blurting about how she was suppose to be in Arkham and not out in society. Lips curled into a soft smile regardless, "Hi, Olivia. I'm well. How are you?" Setting the menu down as she already knew what she was going to order.
