Two-Face's cheek flushed, then paled. He took a deliberate step closer, looming over her. "We might be the same body, the same brain." He bent forwards, voice throbbing with barely-restraied anger. "But whatever Harvey Dent once was is NOT what I am now."
A cynical sneer appeared on the remains of his lips. "If Harvey and I were the same person, you'd mean something to me."

Olivia's pulse quickened as Two-Face stepped closer. She straightened and locked eyes with him. "Using your larger size as an intimidation ploy against me. How cute."
She gripped the beer bottle tightly, frustration building to epic proportions. "You know what? That sucks, it really does. I don't know how much longer I can stand being the girlfriend to some asshole who only likes me half the time. It's pathetic. You're pathetic."
She slammed the bottle down on the counter and stalked into the living room. "I don't know what the stupid clown sees in you. I wouldn't be surprised if he only wants you for the sex and coddling."

Two-Face's only answer was a mocking laugh as she walked away. He finished both her beer and his own before letting Harvey back into their shared head.
He stepped forwards, his face drawn anad unhappy. "Ollie," he sid softly. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry... he has no right to talk to you like that. I wish I could stop him... wish I could do anything to make this easier for you."
He knelt in front of the sofa and took both her hands in his own. "Sweetheart, please."

Olivia pulled her hands away and crossed her arms over her chest. "How long are you going to keep cleaning up after him, Harvey? How long are you going to let him take control and do things you'd never do? How long is it going to take you to admit that there might just be a problem?"
She turned away from him and moved to stand by the glass doors to the balcony. Olivia leaned her forehead against the glass. When she spoke next her voice was almost inaudible. "I'm tired, Harvey."

He looked down. "I know there's a problem. What am I supposed to do about it, Ollie? Hand myself into the authorities and spend the rest of my days in a padded cell? That can't be what you want."
Harvey rose lightly to his feet and moved to stand behind her, hands gently running over her shoulders and upper arms. "I know, sweetheart. I know."
He gently pressed a kiss to the top of her head. His voice was heavy with sorrow. "I try, Ollie. I try so hard. All my life I've fought to keep down that darkness that... evil. I'm not a good man, Olivia. I never have been."
He bent his head, burying his lips in her soft hair again. "You make me want to fight it, Ollie. I love you. I love you so much. You'll never understand how much, or how I need you... you're like a compass to me. The only truly good person in my life. Even Joker sees it."

Olivia didn't acknowledge Harvey for a long time. She wanted to tell him that she wasn't a good person. She wanted to tell him what she'd done so that he'd hate her as much as she was beginning to hate herself. Instead, she began to cry.
As hot tears spilled down her cheeks, Olivia turned around and buried her face in Harvey's chest. "I'm sorry." She whispered. "I'm so, so sorry."
She wouldn't explain to him what she meant, not yet. Let him be confused and happy instead of knowing and hurt. Breaking his heart was going to destroy her.
