(Everyone, this is a pure crack thread as we could all do with something silly and funny, so please jump in! It's the Rogues Gallery and assorted Arkhamites on a beach holiday.)
~What are we doing here?~, Harvey asked himself. ~Drinking rum and ogling hot chicks in bikinis~ Two-Face answered. ~It was a rhetorical question~ he remarked, but Two-Face had lost interest in the conversation and was looking round for someone to replenish his mojito.
One of the advantages to being one of the most powerful crime lords in Gotham was that you developed a very interesting contacts list. Two-Face's cocaine dealer's brother's cellmate's cousin's sister's husband had a beach house near an exclusive cove just outside of Cancun, and had invited Harvey to bring some of his friends and associates down there for the weekend. Harvey could hardly refuse and expect to keep Two-Face's lines of supply open.
Harvey settled back in the beach chair and looked out over the white sands and glittering blue ocean. He should stop being tense and relax a little. It was a beautiful day, the sun was streaming and the wind was warm on his ravaged face. Even Joker couldn't cause mayhem in such a peaceful spot. Could he?

Of course he could.
Joker didn't usually enjoy the beach. The sand tended to get into places that it shouldn't have and his lily white skin burned like a marshmallow on a camping trip. The Dents had convinced him that this would be fun. Now, as he built a massive sand castle that was only slightly lop sided, Joker realized he was actually enjoying himself.
He stood up and wiped his hands on his purple and green argyle swim trunks. He stared for a moment at his rather sketchy masterpiece before he began merrily kicking it, laughing maniacally as sand went everywhere.
"Jokerzilla strikes again!"

The beach wasn't normally the place she'd be. Nightshade laid on the beach towel clad in a bikini. Wearing a pair of black sunglasses as her body was oiled up with sunscreen so she wouldn't get sunburned. The sounds of the ocean's waves crashing were soothing so soothing she had actually fallen asleep on the beach towel. Not even Joker's mischievous sandcastle bashing had awoken her from her slumber.

Harvey looked up at Joker, who had been suspiciously quiet for the last 20 minutes. He shook his head, smiling slightly as Joker gleefully demolished the giant sandcastle, suspecting Joker was having far moe fun in the destroying than in building.
He stood up and stretched, then ambled down the sand to where Joker was proudly surveying the scene of devastation. "Jokerzilla had better put some more suncream on unless he wants to end up looking like me," he suggested.
Nearby, Olivia lay on a beachtowel, dozing lightly. He sat down next to her and bent down presseing a light kiss to her shoulder. "You have to admit, the weather in Mexico is better than New Jersey." His eyes passed over the 50's style swimsuit she wore. "And if you're going to continue dressing like this I'm not sure I want to go home any time soon." He smiled. "Having a good time, sweetheart?"

Ruby thought she would never see a beach again after her parents died. So when Harvey had suggested a trip to the beach, she jumped at the chance.
Clothed in a navy blue and white polka-dotted bikini with red string, Ruby slipped out of her white cork wedges and dug into her bag. She pulled out sunscreen and lathered it all over, focusing mainly on her legs. She dropped the bottle back into her bag and picked up her surfboard she'd recently found in her apartment.
She grinned and stated happily, "just going for a surf.," and headed over to the sea.

Olivia smiled and stretched as his kiss brought her out of her brief nap. She shielded her eyes with her hand as she gazed up at him. "The best time. I'd like to point out that it is entirely your fault that I'm dressing like this since you bought it."
She propped herself up on her elbows and looked over to where Joker was destroying the last remains of his sand Gotham. "I can never get over just how childlike he can be. He's really like one big, terrifying toddler. At least he's here with us and not causing mayhem back at home."
Her face lit up and she turned to look at Harvey. "Hey, let's leave him here! He can become a drug lord with a horrible sunburn and leave us alone! Just think about it, babe! We wouldn't have to clean up his messes or put up with his demands when he decides that he wants to temporarily live with us! I'd say we could leave Two-Face with him but that would be a bit difficult."
At Ruby's announcement, Olivia grinned and waved. "Have fun! Don't get eaten by a shark, please."

Ryan was having a good time swimming, it was nice being out and about but it was not his kind of thing, simply because he was the bad guy, therefore he was not one for sitting on the beach and making sandcastles just to destroy them, he was currently in a black wetsuit simply because of the fact that it allowed him to attach one of his swords to the gap in the side. Sticking his hair up into a dark fin he lay face down in the water and swam forward when he saw that Ruby was going into the water not far away from him.

Nightshade woke up feeling hot from the sun's rays and decided to take a dip herself to cool off in the ocean's waters.
Heading into the waters as she dove under the waves going for a swim. Just enjoying herself as she noticed Goodnite and Ruby in the waters too.

Waving back at Olivia, she gave an uneasy smile. "Hopefully I won't, I'm terrified of them."
She entered the sea and swam beside her board, enjoying the sunshine on her arms and face. Hopefully she would get a good tan.
Looking up, she cocked an eyebrow at a suspicious looking fin heading her way. She let out a shrill cry and started to panic as she thought it was a shark.
"Oh God, what do I do?" She whispered to herself. Not seeing that the fin belonged to a man's neck, she climbed up on her board and stood to her full height. "Phew." She smiled. A sudden powerful wave shook the board and caused Ruby to fall into the water, her scream being muffled by the deep waters.

Harvey shaded his eyes from the sun and watched Ruby tumble into the water. He saw a flash of metal as Ryan Goodnite came into view.
"Why is Goodnite swimming with a sword on his wetsuit?" he questioned. "Is he planning to catch fish for dinner with that thing? Someone should tell him that there's already a barbecue going."
Harvey was wearing an unbuttoned white linen shirt over his swimming costume. He shrugged the shirt off and folded it before stretching out next to Olivia, adjusting his sunglasses to protect his damamged left eye from the tropical glare.
"We couldn't leave Joker here," he said smiling slightly. "He doesn't speak Spanish. And anyway, this country is chaotic enough as it is. And El Bromista doesnt have quite the same ring as Joker. Besides he'd miss the Bat too much. Or rather, El Murcielago."

Nightshade swam to the shore getting out of the ocean. Going over to the Dents and Olivia. "Thanks for inviting us..to come here." She could briefly feel Kat's presence but it was faint. It would be the only humane act, Nightshade would do and that was to get the doctor to place Kat's consciousness into the chip preserving her.
Lips struggled at first giving him a warm smile doing her best to act like Kat would. Thankfully the dark lenses of the sunglasses concealed her darker hazel eyes.

Joker had cheerfully ignored Harvey's suggestion of sun screen. The sun wouldn't dare burn his skin! They had an agreement to leave each other alone.
He had watched with mild interest as Goodnite decided to be weird and have a sword in the ocean. When he started pretending to be a shark Joker rolled his eyes and walked back to the group around Harvey.
He plopped down between Olivia and Harvey and maneuvered himself so that his head rested on her stomach and his legs were stretched across Harvey's. "You're a good pillow, Tartlette." He said with a cheeky grin.
He raised an eyebrow at Kat. "Channeling Captain Kirk, pumpkin?"
He turned his head to look back out at the ocean. "Hey, where'd Ruby go? She was surfing and now she isn't. I hope she's not dead. Who will build me bright and shiny bombs then?"

Saltwater never tasted nice. Especially not by the bucket load.
Ruby spat the water out and closed her mouth, keeping what little air she had left in it. Her eyes stung because she was underwater but she didn't care - she wanted to see this suspicious shark. She turned her head to the direction of where it was coming from and was surprised to see the face and body of Ryan Goodnite. She waved her arms around, keeping her in the same place before pushing the water beneath her arms and shooting up to her board.
She gasped for air when her head left the water. Resting both her arms on her board, she rubbed her eyes and took in deep breaths.
Although he probably couldn't hear her, Ruby decided to yell at him anyway. "Ryan! What are you doing? You gave me a heart attack, for God's sake!"

"Funny, Joker." Nightshade only smirked at his comment about her being like Captain Kirk. The pumpkin nickname she could have done without though but Kat tolerated that kind of stuff.
Her gaze returned to the waters watching where Ruby would be seeing her surface finally spitting up water. A slight chuckle escaped her lips as she was apparently yelling at Goodnite for tricking her into thinking he was some sort of shark creature.
