((Setting After A Case of the Sneezles, atleast in a sense))
Alison came home early to home to get ready for the dinner. She was extremely excited for cook for someone. A privilege she hadn't had since she moved away from her sister. Right as she opened her door she saw her apartment was messy. To other people the house looked impeccable clean but she could see things in a different way. She set out to clean everything; the Kitchen, the Dinning room, the Living room, the Bedroom, and the Bathroom. After looking around she started cooking the dinner. She wanted everything to good, actually perfect but that was something she would only dreamed of. Finally, putting the meal in the oven she went to her bathroom to take a quick shower.
She slipped into tan slacks and a purple shirt with a tan vest. Setting her hair in a nice up-do style with mini braids to hold the hair all together. She went back into the kitchen to check on the meal then set out to cook the vegetables. Grabbing the plats, silverware, glasses, and napkins she walked pasted the dinning room table to the stair that led to her secret garden. A nice white table with matching chairs were set up. The plants filled around without seeming overwhelming. She set the table up. Walking back down she check on the food, then did a last final touches to the cleaning. At the last minute she decided on what to have for dessert. She looked at the time then she set out for quickly make the dessert. Slipping the food into the fridge she raced around the house making sure everything was perfect.

When he'd gotten home at 6:25, Matthew had felt almost like a bit of a headless chicken. He had barely noticed the rest of the day fly past and he hadn't even realised that he was home until he'd, on autopilot, walked into his bedroom to get changed. He blinked a couple of times, checked his watch and gave a small smile. He'd changed into a pair of comfy dark blue jeans, slightly flared and a white button up with thin brown pinstripes. He slipped on white converses and checked the time. Throwing on a black blazer and grabbing his phone and keys, Matthew almost ran out of the front door and very almost flew down the stairs.
When he reached her apartment, Matthew stuck a hand in his pocket and knocked on her front door, hoping he wasn't too late. He checked his watch, which was once more turned around, the face of the watch not visible normally. It had just turned 7:05 and Matthew inwardly flinched. He actually hated being late, it was something he was used to not being and so when he was late, he felt as though the rest of the day would be put out, hence why he always tried to be as on time as possible.

Alison pulled the macaroni and cheese from the oven when she heard the door knocked. Setting the food on the stove top to cool she wiped her hands on a towel. Looking at the clock she gave a smirk. She walked to the door and opened it.
"You are fashionably late." She tease. Letting Matthew in she walked back into the kitchen. Quickly checking the food, she smiled. She opened the fridge to pull out a jug of water.
"How was your day?"

Closing the door behind him, Matthew smiled softly at her words.
"It's been good." He said, walking into her living room and looking around at the room. He sat down on the sofa, thinking about his day. He'd had his first interview with Ruby 'Rubix Cube' Carter, it had been interesting, to say the least. "How about yours?" He asked with light interest, making sure to keep his voice loud enough to carry into the kitchen.

She drained the vegetables then set the in a glass bowl. Listening to Matthew sitting in the living room.
"I got to meet the Joker, an interesting man. He didn't really seem all that freaky but maybe it's just me." She made account for all the food then was thinking of anything that was needed. Successfully not thinking of anything else that was needed she smiled. Pulling out some pot cloths so put under the hot entree.
"I don't mean to bother you but may I enlist your help to carry some things?" She picked up the bowl of veges and the pan of Macaroni and cheese, slightly waiting for Matthew.

Instead of saying anything about the Joker, Matthew stood and walked into the kitchen. He didn't mind helping, really, he didn't... Sometimes... This was one of the times he didn't mind. Walking into the kitchen, Matthew smiled softly.
"What d'you need me to do?" He asked her, hoping he didn't seem overly strange for having to ask. He slid his hands into his pockets just after asking her. He dug his hands into his pockets while waiting for her answer.

When Matthew didn't say anything about the Joker, she just forgot about the strange man. Smiling back she nodded her head towards the jug of water.
"If you don't mind carrying that." She already had her hands full but she attempted to point to the jug. Watching him pick it up, doubled checked if anything was missing. "Oh and the salt and pepper shakers...they're on the mantle above the stove." She turned to look at them, they were two back cats with blue (Pepper) ribbon and one pink (salt) ribbon around their necks.
"Follow me."Starting the trail to the table. She walked passed the empty dinning room table. A open door that had stairs led there way up to the roof. A white table with chairs was surround by a garden filled with all sorts of plants. Looking out further a great view of Gotham city. Setting the bowl of vegetables down, she grabbed the cloth to set the entree down onto without destroying the table. Smiling to herself then turned to Matthew, she spoke.
"You can set them both on the table."

Picking up the things as Alison left, Matthew found himself nodding at her words as he somewhat admired the salt and pepper shakers. He liked them, despite being allergic to cats. Speaking of which.
"Do you have any cats?" He asked her, looking at her with a small eyebrow raise in interest as he put the stuff down on the table as she'd said and didn't look at her as he put them down. "Or any pets at all?" He then added, merely so that he didn't seem to care about one pet in particular. He remembered his sister's cat that he'd 'accidentally' run over...

She smiled when Matthew asked her a question. Shaking her head.
"I don't, no animals." She picked up the jug of water and pour it into both glasses. Setting the jug down she got the macaroni and cheese and scooped it into both the plates. Then getting the broccoli she placed some on to her dish. Lightly setting it down she let him scoop himself some food. She sat down then asked him.
"You have any animals yourself?"

Matthew sat and got himself his food. He shook his head with a small snort.
"No, I don't. There's not enough time to look after them." He said, shrugging softly and looking at his plate of food.. He never liked to have an animal unless he'd be able to look after it properly and when working at Arkham, there wasn't time to feed the animal and give it attention that it needed to be well looked after... He glanced at Alison and took a sip of the drink.

Alison smiled. Picking up her fork she took a bite of her food. She watched the night sky. Then looking back at Matthew, she was curious.
"Did you own any animals when you were younger?"

Msatthew shook his head while also beginning to eat.
"I didn't, my sister got a cat when she was twelve..." He trailed off as he began to munch on the macaroni. "I- uh- accidentally ran it over when I was twenty..." He mumbled, coughing softly before eating some more. He decided not to tell Alison that he phoned up his sister to tell her that the cat had died... Nor that she'd beaten him up as much as a furious, crying seventeen year old could as soon as he'd walked through the front door with the cat in a plastic bag in his hand...

Alison nodded and smiled listening to Matthew until she heard the part where he ran over the cat. She about chocked on her food. Washing it down with water, she felt the burning sensation in her lungs from trying to sallow food and water down at the same time. She made a slight face. Pushing it aside she made a inaudible sigh of relief. Taking more bites of her food and sallowing, she then asked.
"How do you like it?" She hadn't really cooked for anyone except for her family, but she like anything and everything, she knew because when she was first trying to cook something. Her sister tasted it and lied saying how good it was, until she, herself tasted it. Realizing how awful it was she vowelled that she would become better, and to actually taste her food, before serving it.

Matthew had looked fairly worried when Alison had been choking but he couldn't help laughing a little at the same time.
"Sorry for laughing..." He mumbled, looking at his food then at Alison. "I like it a lot, it's brilliant." He smiled, continuing to eat before drinking some more water. He wanted to ask her a question, any question, but couldn't think of anything.

Alison finished off her plate just listening to the night. The Quiet was very peaceful. She quickly grabbed seconds, starting to eat that. Not being embarrassed that she was eating a lot. She got over the fact that people might judge her, so gives a care. A soft breeze brushed against them but didn't really make a noise just cooling.
"It's a beautiful night. Isn't it?"
